Types of Specialty pans
Let’s now see some types of specialty pans:
- Cake Pans: These are available in different shapes- from being heart-shaped to hexagonal, rectangular, or quadrate and sizes. Cake pans are usually made from aluminum. There are different types of cake pans; among which are the sheet cake pan, the standard cake pan, springform pan, bun pans and so on.
- Muffin pans: Muffin pans are used in making cupcakes hence they are typically smaller than the standard cake pan. They are also made from aluminum; nonetheless, there are those that are made with silicone.
- Baking sheets: Baking sheets are usually flat and are employed for making cookies. They are sometimes used with parchment paper in order to prevent your baking goods from burning. Furthermore, they can be adapted for baking some special types of cakes.
- Loaf pans: Loaf pans are specifically used for baking bread. They are made from a wide range of materials such as ceramics, glass, and aluminum. The type of loaf pan used in baking bread goes a long way in determining how a loaf of bread turns out. For instance, aluminum pans are known to be good for making loaves that are not so dark while loaf pans that have dark colour are good for crusty yeasts.
